Ben Sawatzky
President
Ben started Spruceland in January 1983 and is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Spruceland, overseeing all divisions.
Willy Sawatzky
Vice President of Operations
Willy came to Spruceland in 1987 acting as Production Manager and oversees all product production for Spruceland.
Greg Schellenberg
Vice President of Marketing and Procurement
Greg joined Spruceland in 1999 with offshore marketing strength and today acts as Manager of sales, marketing and procurement.
Chris Petkau
Sales Manager
Chris has been with Spruceland for 15 years in the areas production and sales and now acts as our Sales Manager.
Josh Sawatzky
Talent Search, Recruitment & Sales
Josh joined our sales team in 2004, bringing with him a wide spread knowledge from his experience in production. Josh is also active in the Human Resource department where his responsibilities lie in recruitment and staffing.
Randal Gillett
Production Manager
Randal joined Spruceland in 1990 and now acts as Production Manager, where he oversees the production of finger-joint products, radius-edge decking, and “J” grade products.
Stacey Thorburn
Leader of People Care, Skill Development & Safety
Stacey started with Spruceland in 1983 and joined the production management team as assistant manager in 1998.
Corinna Nelson
Personal Assistant to the President
Office Manager
Corinna joined the administration team at Spruceland in 2000 and in a few years is promoted to Office Manager and Personal Assistant to the President.
Shari Sookarookoff
Transportation Coordinator
In 2002, after eight years in the transportation industry, Shari joined the Spruceland team where she oversees logistics and documentation.
Gary Hiebert
Controller
Gary joined the Spruceland team in 2008 as our controller and brings with him a wealth of experience from various industries.
Steve Perrault
Quality Control
Steve has 16 years experience in the lumber industry, specifically with lumber treating and remanufacturing. Since Steve joined us in 2003 he has worked his way into Quality Control and floor support roles.
Joanne Ferguson
Payroll & Benefits
Joanne joined the Spruceland team in 1994. She brings experience in both production and clerical duties. Joanne is responsible for Payroll and Benefits.
Diane Walker
Receptionist
Diane is the newest addition to the Spruceland team. She brings experience from the retail service community to our office. Diane looks forward to continue learning this industry as she joyfully contributes to our administrative team.

Sales Office Manager
Ian has been with Spruceland, managing the Vancouver sales office, since 1989. Ian brings over 26 years of experience in the industry, primarily focused on sales of specialty lumber products.
